An unplugged night at Ship26, and then onto the boat

Xaver Walser, Ship26 crew, on the weekend the ship went unplugged.

Music and technology might feel like two completely different worlds. Art and tech often seem far apart, but not this time. Bringing both into the same space made me realize something magical: one inspires the other. They rub off on each other, driving our underlying motives, giving us a reason to come together, and helping us stay open-minded while fueling our curiosity.

Over the weekend, Ship26 hosted a live unplugged music event driven by one of our crew members, Johannes Röhrenbach. His "go-get-it" entrepreneurial spirit brought together musicians from all over. Watching people step into a space where they could fully express themselves and just be was completely contagious. It brought out the absolute best in everyone present and unlocked creativity in ways I didn't expect.

While the music played, it reminded me of what we stand for at our core: bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and making technology accessible to artists and creators alike.

Yes, we were there to share music. But that is the real power of our space at Ship26:

• Wednesdays might feature a deep-dive talk on quantum computing.
• Fridays might yield the next big startup idea born over a casual lunch.

However, the beauty of bringing people together into a dedicated, inspiring space is that it naturally attracts like-minded minds. Ultimately, we are here to build things that matter, to do productive, sensible, and impactful work for the world. Seeing the emotional power of music act as the glue while operating in a space optimized for building technology is nothing short of magic.

We then made our way downstairs to our community boat parked directly at the shore of Ship26, taking the session to a whole new level. Over and over, we were amazed by the pure quality and joy this brought into our lives. This was the exact fuel we all needed to keep inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators.
