Swiss SportsTech Report 2026
Mike Kurt presents the first systematic map of Swiss SportsTech, made with Swiss Olympic, and what it would take for Switzerland to lead Europe in the field.
I'm In →
Switzerland is regarded as the most innovative country in the world. It is home to more than 60 international sports organisations such as the IOC, FIFA and FIBA, has strong tech clusters in biotech and medtech, and with ETH Zurich and EPFL hosts some of Europe's leading research institutions. And yet SportsTech has so far played hardly any role.
Swiss Olympic has mapped the country's SportsTech industry for the first time
Swiss Olympic, together with an alliance of industry, economic development agencies and sport, has therefore mapped the Swiss SportsTech industry systematically for the first time. The aim is to assess how Switzerland, with a view to possibly hosting the Olympic Games, can become Europe's leading SportsTech nation.
Join Swiss Olympic athlete Mike Kurt as he leads the movement to unite Switzerland's cantons and leading corporations around a single, powerful initiative. In this session, Mike will present exclusive findings and connect top innovators, bridging the gap between SportsTech startups, elite athletes and strategic capital investors.
Wednesday 18 November 2026, 17:30 to 18:30, at Ship26, Schifflände 26, on the Limmat in Zürich's old town. Entry is free; the "I'm In" button takes you to registration on Luma.
